Top Sandbox-like Games on iOS in the UK, Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the sandbox-like games category on iOS in the United Kingdom showcased interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. According to data from Sensor Tower, here’s a closer look at the top five performing applications.

Roblox from Roblox Corporation exhibited strong performance in terms of revenue, peaking at approximately $843K during the week of August 19. The game saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, reaching a high of about 70.5K in early September. However, active users experienced a decline from around 2.5M in July to just over 2M by the end of the quarter.

Minecraft: Play with Friends by Mojang showed a consistent revenue stream, with weekly earnings peaking at about $87.8K in late August. The game's downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight peak of approximately 6.4K in the last week of July. Active users experienced a decline in September, dropping from around 724K in July to 556K by the quarter's end.

One State RP: Grand city crime from ChillGaming saw a significant peak in revenue, reaching $36.3K in late August. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at approximately 6.8K in mid-September. Active users consistently grew throughout the quarter, increasing from about 29.2K in July to over 42.3K by the end of September.

IMVU: Fun 3D Avatar Chat Game maintained a steady revenue trend, with earnings hovering around $9.4K at the end of September. Weekly downloads showed a declining trend, starting from 988 in early July to 609 by the end of the quarter. Active users also decreased slightly over the period, ending at approximately 23.8K.

ZEPETO: Avatar, Connect & Live from NAVER Z Corporation experienced a gradual decline in revenue, ending the quarter at around $2.9K. Downloads saw a peak of approximately 2.4K in early August before falling to 1.1K by the end of September. Active users also declined, starting at around 35.1K in early July and ending at 30.2K.
